Hudson Yards
Engineering feat: the Hudson Yards project
Hell’s Kitchen may have an intriguing history, but the future is making an impressive appearance here, too. One of the most dramatic additions to our west side skyline is Hudson Yards, the largest private real estate development in U.S history.
One part urban fairytale, two parts engineering marvel, all 28 acres of Hudson Yards will be constructed on an elevated platform above the historic train yards that bear the same name. Once completed, Hudson Yards will be home to a dazzling collection of commercial and residential towers, 14 acres of public parks and open space, luxury shops and restaurants, even a public school. The High Line, an aerial public park built on an abandoned elevated freight line, will complete its final phase wrapping around Hudson Yards.
Hudson Yards advances the story of Hell’s Kitchen’s unique community, and Kimpton Ink48 Hotel is thrilled to be neighbors with such an exciting enterprise.
